Ragdoll Ramblings | April 2025

You know. I think there needs to be some form of acceptance in all of this.  Life is… difficult. Of course, I'm working towards making it a touch easier but there's always going to be some kind of strife happening, at the very least, in proximity to me. Whether it's the personal storm that swirls in my psyche or my country drop kicking its economy and morals into the nearest trash heap, I fear times are always going to be eventful.  While I'd love to be a machine that runs on spite, sometimes I succumb to the storm. And lately it has been raging but “Heave ho, onwards we row”.  Soooooo to give the tl;dr on the content:  L oveSeat has a few unedited videos but the final few still need to be recorded. I know it's April. Be nice.   RPG Sunday is fully edited and scheduled, which has been great for progress. I'm at the point where I'm streaming and uploading a VOD almost the same day.  Monday Show has no progress Retro Tuesday VODs are unedited but w...

Declutter | The Carnival

Foreword Welllllllllll - lookie what we got here, it's another fantasy short story to add to the collection. For those unaware, Declutter is a collection of various short stories, all that have been uploaded to this blog, that I plan to release for free via Amazon Kindle. Main idea is to let myself become familiar with the self-publishing system before launching my full fledge novel. I'm also terrified to put that out in the world but that's a story for another day.  The story for today is The Carnival. This is something that I could easily continue and expand upon for future short stories. I'm unsure if this will exist in the From Dawn to Dusk canon or not. But enough of my ramblings - let's dive into this world together.  The Carnival Nathan McHale let out yet another yawn before rising from the red lazy boy chair that had nearly pulled him back into a deep slumber. Thankfully, the sound of the coffee maker beckoned to Nathan and, like any addict, he simply coul...

Declutter | Escape Artist

Foreword The seventh short shorty for Declutter has arrived! This particular one is an idea that's been floating around my head for quite sometime. Ever since I connected with my online community and was discovering all the different forms of artistic expression we had, I day dreamed about the idea of a group of friends traveling cross country to finally meet and how each one view the world through a slightly different artistic lens. Escape Artist is not that particular story, but the main core idea transformed into what I present to you below. It's also partially a true story, based on how I survived some of the rougher parts of public school by hiding inside the fantastical world of books, video games and anime. Art can be a healthy escape from daily turmoil that we all experience. Emphasis on can, since escape is no substitute for actually addressing the issues that plague society. The importance of art is something I will defend, because that escape enables us the abilit...

Write The Story: A Strange Request at a Piano Bar

Write the story is a daily prompt writing journal that my lady love got for her birthday awhile back. Inside are a ton of writing prompts, giving you a title and selection of words or phrases that you must use in your story. A Strange Request at a Piano Bar was the first prompt that we did together. I figured it be fun to show off what I came up with and, hopefully, show how I am improving in my craft. List of Words that must be used: Carnival Sprained Mask Oxidation Awkward Apple Juvenile Controversy Twirl Sassafras I sit at my grand piano fingering the keys with expert accuracy and timing. My skillful song filled the air of the piano bar I had been staying at for almost two weeks. I needed a break. I needed to get away. The owner was more than eager to allow me to stay here... so long as I continued to draw in a huge crowd with my performance. My song came to a close, the last few notes hanging in the air like floating spirits. With a sigh I close my eyes and wai...
