Burn It Down (Five Nights at Freddy's: Pizzeria Simulator Review)

Foreword It has come to this. The penultimate battle of good vs evil – father vs son – a reviewer vs a really well put together horror game and franchise. Five Nights at Freddy's: Pizzeria Simulator (which I loving short to Pizza Sim cause it just sounds funny) is the sixth installment and the final (Haha – fat chance) game in the Afton story line. This game was released on December 4, 2017 for FREE and has received pretty much universal praise (9/10 via Steam, 7.1 via Metacritic). Perhaps the most lore intensive game, most of the burning questions that remain are answered while delivering both a familiar gameplay style with some exciting new mechanics. Let us descend into the madness for one final time. The Story The game opens, innocently enough, on an atari style mini game. You control Mr. Fazbear himself as he launches pizza pies of your own creation into the faces of hungry waiting children. As you rack up points, things turn south pretty quickly as a shadow Freddy appears to ...

The Giant Stands Tall (Five Nights At Freddy's 2 Review)

Foreword Has a video game series ever had so many sequels released in such a short amount of time? I'm sure if you were to take a look at the industry, Five Nights at Freddy's would be near the top of the list - if not the number 1. Scott Cawthon released the sequel to his critically acclaimed horror game just four months after the first game. Even someone not familiar with the gaming industry can tell that is an incredibly short amount of time. The assumption that is easy to make is that the game must not be of high quality. Well, luckily for you, I'm obsessed with writing and would love to break this game down for you. Before I start, let me rehash my reviewing scale for those of you who may be new here: Each game is scored based on four core categories - the story, the gameplay, the visuals, and the audio. Each component is awarded a maximum of ten points, and then the game is scored based on the average of those four categories. To further the exp...

Shorties Review Volume 1 (Neon Beats, 1365, 2048, Siberia, Speer)

Forward Goo Morning, Folks! Video games are incredible. Whether they be the incredible Triple A games that we all know, love and have sunk hundreds of hours into or the shorty boi Indie games that don't take more than twenty minutes to beat, video games remain as my favorite media to consume. While I could easily write five thousand words on any hundred hour RPG, this post is to give some love to a few of the tiny indie games that I have done Let's Plays on (shameless plug: https://www.youtube.com/user/MrBuradori).  If you have been reading my Ed, Edd N Eddy reviews, then you are familar with my rating system. For those of you who are not familiar with it (Why aren't you? Don't you love me? Read all of my posts.) here's a quick breakdown: An out of 10 number system will be used. The final score will be based on the totals of the four most important aspects to a video game (debatable - tell me I'm wrong in the comments); the story, the gameplay, the visuals and...

I've Play This Game for Nearly 200 Hours (Don't Starve Together Review)

Multi-player games are an important staple in every gamer's library. Especially growing up with 3 older siblings, playing games together was a huge part of my childhood. We were a Nintendo household, so I'm mostly referring to Mario Kart, Mario Party, Super Smash Brothers and the like. I've played these games a ton, however there is one that I may have dedicated more of my time to.  This game, of course, being Don't Starve Together. For clarity, I'll be talking Don't Starve Together specifically, as opposed to the single player game - Don't Starve. I've yet to play the single player one, so I'm unaware of what kind of differences there will be. Don't Starve Together is a survival multi-player game developed by Klei. You choose from a wide variety of characters ( each with their own widely different play styles ) and enter a randomly generated world. Your goal is to simply survive for as long as possible while avoiding numerous hazards. ...
