New Year, New Chances

Happy New Year!

Goo Morning, folks and Happy New Year! It's been awhile since I last updated this blog and I'm hoping to try to bring a change to that. What better time to bring change to my creative life than a new year? When will I get a cliche like this again? But to be a little more serious, I am hoping to bring about one big change to my career as a content creator - consistency.

Consistency is something I've always lacked, unfortunately. Perhaps not necessarily in the quality of the content that I've released but in the frequency of said content. I've fallen into a comfortable loop of working really hard on projects for a block of time and then either seldom visiting my work or going on long hiatuses. I enjoy giving myself the excuse that my full time job prevents me from being able to be contently creating and releasing content. Truly, though, the real issue is poor planning. I honestly believe that if I made the time to schedule and plan my releases thoroughly enough - I can very easily fix my problem with consistently creating and releasing. So let's plan this out.

The Blog

So let's start with Patchwork. I never had great ambitions for this blog; originally hoping to use it as writing target practice. As my track record has shown, I've fallen a tad short on that idea. As I stated before, it stems from what I was taught in school, and what has been taught and proven for ages - if you want to become a better writer, you have to write. Practice makes perfect and one should aim to write something everything single day, no matter how long or short the entry is. I am still very passionate about writing. Creating a world and characters through written work makes me ecstatic. However, writing is not immune to my consistency problem. If anything, it's affected the most by it. Truth be told, I've already finished writing my first manuscript. This novel has been finished for, gosh, a year or two at this point? It's been so long that I don't recall when I officially finished it and started my endless editing. Which brings us back to the plan Patchwork. To make my writing routine and a activity that I do, at the very least, weekly. In 2020, I want to release a new blog spot every Sunday. 52 blog entries. A task that should not be terribly complicated or hard to accomplish, especially considering the material that I am filling these pages with. Expect to see more reviews, original short stories, and general ramblings. After this one is released, only got 51 more. Shouldn't be too hard, right?

YouTube

A scary thing to talk about, considering the current climate. 2020 will be a very interesting year for Youtube. If you are on the platform, no doubt you have heard of the COPPA headache that has been occurring. If you are unfamiliar, the basic story is that YouTube is in trouble with the FTC because they were collecting data on children under the age of 13 for purposes of targeting ads - which is illegal under the COPPA act. In response, YouTube settled for a large lump of money and will now be policing the platform, making sure "For Kids" content is labelled correctly. In the event it is not labelled correctly, YouTube can force the tag onto it - which severally cripples a video and a channel's ability to grow. On top of that, those who are proven to be non compliant, can be fined up to $42,000. A lot going on, to be sure. A severe situation that I am weary about. I am unsure of how it will affect the BradicalRadical show. Odds are, my small production will be ignored by corporate big brother and I will see little to no repercussions. At the very least, it's what I hope to be true. In the event my channel comes under fire, I will not hesitate to snap my library out of existence... on Youtube at the very least. I have already begun on the process of archiving every video I have ever uploaded. If my channel dies, I will find alternate platforms to release this content. My ambition is to create my own website and host my videos there, but that can be incredibly expensive. So, my current plan is to wait and see what happens. If YouTube falls, the BradicalRadical show will live on. We'll be okay. Also also, the schedule as it stands is uploads on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Keeping things simple.

Twitch

A bit harder to plan for and to keep consistent is live streaming. Mainly because life happens. Being only a few followers away from reaching affiliate status has me quite motivated to try a final push and get my channel to where I want it to be. Working late nights makes it hard to do streams as often as I would like. At times, I've worked in my particular store from open to close - so I'm sure you can see how that is mentally taxing. I dislike making excuses for myself. It allows me to go into a comfortable state of laziness that I don't want to be in. And truly, much like my writing, is to just get back into it and make it routine. Something I am very determined to do. Current schedule for my live streams are Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Games will continue to vary. I'll find a way to make my game schedules easily accessible.

So where does that leave us? Well, the tl;dr is that I want to make more content and consistently be releasing said content. Yeah... Let's do that. Let's make 2020 a year full of content. Hope you like what I got to show!

What are your plans for the New Year? Anything exciting? Let me know in the comments. If you wanna keep up with the blog, be sure to subscribe and follow and whatever else gives you updates. Thanks for reading and always good night and joy be with you all!

The Best Girl | HuniePop Girls ...For All The Marbles

Foreword A quick disclaimer, ranking people based on attractiveness is gross and I'll punch you if you do this. That being said, the HuniePop girls are both fictional and exist solely for degenerates like me to enjoy , so we can make an exception, I'm sure.  For those of you who are somehow uncultured, HuniePop is a dating simulator game that utilizes a match 3 puzzle mechanic to develop your relationship with a cast of 12 ladies, eventually leading to sexy times. Each girl, for the most part, envelops a particular character type, such as Tiffany being the sweetheart or Nikki being the gamer girl, with some slightly deeper personalities.  AND AS SUCH, there can only be one best girl, which is what we'll determine here today. ... I never thought this would be my first countdown but it somehow feels fitting.  Number 12 - And Worst Girl.  Audrey I have many opinions about Audrey. (And certainly, didn't just do a short internet search to see if I'm missing something.) ...

Ragdoll Ramblings | April 2025

You know. I think there needs to be some form of acceptance in all of this.  Life is… difficult. Of course, I'm working towards making it a touch easier but there's always going to be some kind of strife happening, at the very least, in proximity to me. Whether it's the personal storm that swirls in my psyche or my country drop kicking its economy and morals into the nearest trash heap, I fear times are always going to be eventful.  While I'd love to be a machine that runs on spite, sometimes I succumb to the storm. And lately it has been raging but “Heave ho, onwards we row”.  Soooooo to give the tl;dr on the content:  L oveSeat has a few unedited videos but the final few still need to be recorded. I know it's April. Be nice.   RPG Sunday is fully edited and scheduled, which has been great for progress. I'm at the point where I'm streaming and uploading a VOD almost the same day.  Monday Show has no progress Retro Tuesday VODs are unedited but w...

My Experience At Awesome Games Done Quick 2026

I have been watching the speedrunning charity event, Awesome Games Done Quick, for about 10 years at this point. It is a gaming marathon where a list of gamers (called runners) play a video game on stage (and streamed online) to beat said game in the shortest amount of time possible, utilizing both advance skills and technical exploitation. Awesome Games Done Quick, abbreviated as AGDQ, has benefitted the Prevent Cancer Foundation and to date has raised just under 30 million dollars. For the last three years, AGDQ has been held in my backyard of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and this year I had the good fortune of being able to afford two badges (one for myself and one for my lady friend) as well as an overnight stay in the hotel the event was being ran at. Since I've been wanting to ramp up my creative works, I figured I would take some time to write about my first time experience and what this event has done to me.  The Pre-Pre-Show As stated above, I believe it was 2016 when I first ...
