Goo Morning!

Hello!

Hello and welcome to the official blog of the BradicalRadical show! As always, I'm  your host, Bradley. I would like to extend a thank you for everyone who found their way to this site. Most of you probably know me from either Youtube or Twitch but for those of you who are completely new to my work allow me to introduce yourself.

As stated, I go by either Bradical, BradicalRadical, or Bradley. Occasionally, you can still find my old online moniker, MrBuradori, floating around but I tend not to go by that name anymore. In online about me sections I usually describe myself as a Writer, a Youtuber, a Streamer, a Friend or something along those lines - so let's use that as a starting point for this personal break down of my personal being. :D

I am a writer, that should always be my self identifier. It is my dream to eventually publish several books and perhaps even write for TV shows or films. I started this writing thing way back when I was a young lad, perhaps 8 or 10, writing in this notebook while on vacation with my family. We were no doubt visiting some sort of beach and for whatever reason I was compelled to write down this story. The story itself I still remember clearly. It was a horrible rip off of a episode of a cartoon called Kids Next Door. The premise of the show is that adults are evil and controlling and the Kids Next Door is a resistance group that uses 2x4 technology (as the show describes it) to fight back against their tyranny. There was one episode where a member of the main case, Numbah 4 (all the kids were assigned a "Numbah" and the main cast was 1 - 5) investigating this all girl school. He learns of a secret weapon the girls were making that would turn every person on the planet into a girl. They were successful which caused a post apocalyptic future and lead to a convoluted time travel story. It was fantastic and I could not resist ripping it off. Being a young boy in the early 2000s, the idea of boys vs girls and the battle of the sexes was very much ingrained in my mind. It didn't help that my best friend at the time, Geno, was also of this mindset. So I began to write this story - staring myself ( young me had no fear of self insertion), my older brother, and my cousin. The three of us were always the best of friends and we even had our own secret club, Light Bulb Inc. (a name I still very much want to use for something but I fear it's probably not meant to be). And child me was so proud of this cheap knock off and loved every minute of writing it. From that point on, I was always in the mindset of writing. I wouldn't make a complete story again until I made a horrific Metroid, a Nintendo game about a space bounty hunter, fan fiction. It was... a mess and I am not brave enough yet to link to it. Yes. It still exists. Maybe I will gain the courage to let people read it so we can all laugh at it. After that, the first real project that I am still currently working on is my first novel, A Collector's Wager. I am currently in the final editing process and I hope to soon put it up for sale on Amazon. I've been working on this book since early 2014, I think? It's been a long time coming filled with on and off writing, a whole bunch of anxiety and depression and a ton of coffee. A Collector's Wager is about a man name Gabriel Monroe and how he is attempting to buy his late wife's, Eleanor Lucille, way into Heaven by murdering 100 people. This is a... simple explanation. There is a reason why killing these people will buy her way into Heaven but it is slightly complicated. I'll take about it in a future post, hopefully when I come up with a better story synopsis.

So that is where I am now in my writing career, editing this 500+, 200,000+ behemoth and praying that people will enjoy it. I will advertise it heavily here once I actually happen to release it. Stay tuned!

Now my career as a Youtuber and Twitch streamer are... well, less constant. I can point my inspiration to being a Youtuber to a few of my favorite creators and Let's Players. A Let's Play, for the uninformed, is a series of videos were a person plays a video game while providing, usually, comedic commentary. These videos, in my opinion, are extremely entertaining and also fun to make. There are several articles that question why people find this kind of content enjoyable. My best guest is the little sibling syndrome, so to speak. Being the youngest in my family, I would usually watch my aforementioned older brother play games. There is something incredibly entertaining about sharing an experience like this - akin to watching a movie with a group of friends as opposed to by yourself. So yes, I make these Let's Play videos and have an audience of myself and my girlfriend, Yanzer. At the time of this writing, I haven't amassed an audience of any kind and I am completely not bothered by this. Truly, recording and editing these videos is a hobby to me. I have no expectations that will become a job or viable source on income. For right now, it is just something that I have fun doing. The same goes for streaming on Twitch. Similarly to a YouTube let's play, a stream is when someone does everything a Let's Player does but in front of a live audience. Thanks to technological advances, people can now play games live over the internet and interact with fans in real time. This again can be equated to gathering a bunch of friends or siblings and playing through a newly released video game. It is an incredibly entertaining activity, though my anxiety tends to get the better of me when it comes to my time to stream. The bright side of recording is that things can be edited out or I can take an extended pause from the content. I, unfortunately, do not have that luxury while streaming - so at times my nerves can get the better of me and I choose to not turn the camera on.

So that brings us here. To this blog post. My hopes for this is to hone my writing skills while also bringing about some forms of entertainment to those reading. What I currently plan to write are reviews for content I consume, anything from TV to Movies to Games to Music. I will also post a few rants or editorials from time to time. As with Youtube, I have no expectations for this blog to be successful. If no one reads, I will still have fun writing posts and I also get the added benefit of making myself a better writer. As Tyrion Lannister from Game of Thrones has stated, "A mind needs a book like a sword needs a whet stone." This blog can be my whet stone. It reminds me of my creative writing class and how my teacher required us to keep a writing journal and that if we write in it every day, we will become better and better at our craft. So here is me, keeping up with that tradition. You're welcome, Mr. Nellas!

So thanks for reading and checking out this site. I hope you all enjoy what I have to post and will keep coming back for more. But for now, as my YouTube outro always says, good night and joy be with you all.

Ragdoll Ramblings | April 2025

You know. I think there needs to be some form of acceptance in all of this.  Life is… difficult. Of course, I'm working towards making it a touch easier but there's always going to be some kind of strife happening, at the very least, in proximity to me. Whether it's the personal storm that swirls in my psyche or my country drop kicking its economy and morals into the nearest trash heap, I fear times are always going to be eventful.  While I'd love to be a machine that runs on spite, sometimes I succumb to the storm. And lately it has been raging but “Heave ho, onwards we row”.  Soooooo to give the tl;dr on the content:  L oveSeat has a few unedited videos but the final few still need to be recorded. I know it's April. Be nice.   RPG Sunday is fully edited and scheduled, which has been great for progress. I'm at the point where I'm streaming and uploading a VOD almost the same day.  Monday Show has no progress Retro Tuesday VODs are unedited but w...

Alien: Romulus Reminds Me Horror is Good (Review)

Foreword I have a very particular taste in horror movies. When I was young and first discovered horror, I became obsessed with it. I may be able to trace that obsession back to video games with what little footage I saw of Resident Evil 4 and how desperately I wanted to play it, despite being far too young to purchase it myself. It could also be a product of the fascination with ghosts and spirits and demons I had. Regardless, I've consumed a fair bit of the horror genre as a whole. I've played numerous games, own several books, and have watched many movies, shows and videos. Perhaps this is why I have a love and hate relationship with horror movies.  I believe the problem, which is an issue for fictional media as a whole, is that horror relies heavily on the unexpected. If you've ever seen John Carpenter's Halloween, you've seen every slasher flick. If you've seen The Exorcist (I haven't. Be nice) you've seen every procession movie. If you have past ex...

Ragdoll Ramblings | Newsletter for 1/1/2025

Dusk of the First Day 8736 Hour Remain New year, new beginnings - so and so forth. I'd be lying if I said that I didn't also fall into the trap of trying to reinvent myself in some way each year only for it to crash and burn.  To increase my chances of success, really the only thing I'm working on is my discipline in relation my creative work. Surely, I can spare an hour a day writing. Easily I can spare an hour a day recording or editing videos. We'll see how it goes. I mean, I am kinda forcing myself to write even this even though I'm a sleepy baby.  For the tl;dr club that just wants to see what I'm trying to work on or where certain projects stand:  Writing Still working through Season 1 of Ed, Edd n Eddy reviews. All the notes that I need for it have been done for a hot minute. Episode 13 is currently in production. As with the change to the YouTube, I'll probably wait until the whole Season is finished before I start releasing them. If I'm able to...
