A Hiatus

Hello! So uh... a bit of an update for you all. To start with, as I mention every now and then, my content creation is my side gig. My main job, which is in a retail environment, is my main source of income and, y'know, the only thing keeping me fed and housed. As any American working retail can tell you, the holiday season is the most mentally and physically draining time of the year. Currently, there is also a labor shortage in American, meaning nearly every business, mine included, are critically short staffed. This has resulted in me working overtime pretty much every week, averaging about 95 hours per two weeks paid period. About 48 hours per week. Coupled with the fact I drive about an hour to/from work, I'm left with little free time. While I would love to be a workaholic and constantly be recording, editing, and writing - no one is able to keep up that kind of work load and maintain a level of quality. That being said, I would like to talk over my plans for the conte...

The Games They Play

Foreword Hello! Here's another short story for you to chew over while I make preparations to release my first novel. In the spirit of Halloween, the following is a horror story that has some great violence and descriptions of gore. If any of that happens to be triggering for you, or simply not your thing, you won't break my heart too much by skipping over this one. This particular story is another one I've been mauling over for a bit of time now. The main story, that I'll get around to writing eventually, is heavily inspired by Stephen King and, more specifically, "Under the Dome". That should give you an idea of what you are in for; allow me to present: The Games They Play A young boy and a teenage girl stood still on the black top of the grocery store's parking lot. The boy had his hand tightly wrapped around the girl's, squeezing it for comfort. The girl stood confidently, almost slightly annoyed by the little one's apprehension. "It...

A Giant's First Steps (Five Nights At Freddy's Review)

Image
Foreword The year is 2014. I had just graduated from High School and had been hearing around the web about a new horror game called Five Nights At Freddy's. I currently have a shaky history with horror as a genre. I love horror. The dark mysteries that the genre can weave, the images that make your skin crawl, and so on. The issue I have is that most forms of horror media do not inspire those feelings of dread in me. So, full of curiosity, I looked up a Let's Play of Five Nights. I found a popular channel that I never heard of called Markiplier. On a whim, I decided to give both things a shot and I was instantly hooked. Since it be weird to do a review on a YouTuber, let me go ahead and talk about my experience with Five Nights At Freddy's. To do a quick breakdown for those who are unfamiliar with my reviews, my scoring system is as follows: 10. Big Boi Lovings. Any issues are minor enough that they do not affect the score. 9. P. Awesome. Nearly flawless, has a have issues ...

A Pinch To Grow An Ed: Ed, Edd N Eddy Episode Six Review

Image
Foreword Ed, Edd N Eddy for the longest time has been my personal favorite cartoon. Recently, HBOMax has picked up several cartoons from the late 90s and early 2000s. Unsurprisingly, I went on an immediate nostalgia bender and binged watch the entire series with my lady love. And what better way to celebrate several of my favorite cartoons than by systematically reviewing each episode, starting with the dorks of Peach Creek. To keep things simple and to help me keep my sanity, allow me to break down how I plan on scoring these episodes:Each will be given a rating out of 10. To help solidify what those numbers mean, I have adopted a system similar to Angry Joe's rating system. To explain further: 10. Big Boi Lovings. Any issues are minor enough that they do not affect the score. 9. P. Awesome. Nearly flawless, has a have issues that are bad enough. 8. P. Great. The media is great. Not perfect but better than most. 7. P. Good. Above average with some rough issues. 6. Hard Enjoy. I wa...

From Dawn to Dusk: The Smith and The Piglet

Foreword (Hey, I spelled it correctly this time.) Hello, folks! For those who read "Aimless", you'll know that From Dawn to Dusk is the fantasy world that I've been crafting for the better part of 6 years now. It is a series that begins with the Dawn of Creation and ends with the Dusk of Apocalypse. It features fantastical creatures such as elves, werewolves, faeries and so on, doing battle against Hell after it, quite literally, broke loose. "Aimless" took place near the beginning of the series, near the start of creation; this story will take place near the end of the series, during the apocalyptic future. Keep in mind that this is still very much a work in progress and, as such, details are not set in stone and can be changed at any moment before the full story is released. Basically, I got the itch to write in the setting that I've been dreaming about for past several years and I'm finally going to scratch that itch. With that, I present to y...
